Using A.I. to create models

I’ve begun exploring the variety of new Artificial Intelligence products that can be used to create 3d models that I could use in Boneeaters.

First question – when AI is used, are the results copyrightable? Turns out they are (if you play a part in making them):

If a work contains both AI-generated elements and elements of human authorship protectable by copyright law—such as human-authored text or a human’s minimally creative arrangement, selection, and coordination of various parts of the work—the elements of the work that are protected by copyright would be owned by the human author

So I think it is worth digging into this as it could dramatically speed up the project. Perhaps I could draw the characters and have the AI turn them into 3d models.
