Attack of the BiiBiis – Progress

  1. MILESTONE 1 – INITIAL GAME SETUP

    Playable version of game, but using placeholder monster models. Four levels, buff system, some base building options. This took about a month and full details are in this blog (includes a video!).

  2. Add some playtesters
  3. Playtesting for bugs/fixes/design tweaks
  4. Design and implement levels 5 to 10
  5. Design and implement a rebirth system so the first 10 levels can be repeated, but harder and bigger rewards
  6. MILESTONE 2 – REASONABLY PLAYABLE VERSION

    Ten levels, rebirth system, decent landscape, sound effects, music

  7. Add more friends to play and give feedback
  8. Revisions based on feedback, fix bugs, tweak gameplay
  9. Sound effects, monster sounds, music
  10. Upgrade the lands to have trees, shrubs, other artistic elements to turn it into a better landscape; also bridges or other chokepoints
  11. Design levels 11 to 20, tie to rebirth system so unlock maybe at 5 rebirths
  12. MILESTONE 3 – PROTOTYPE PROJECT COMPLETE

    Twenty levels, rebirth system, landscape, sound effects music. Game functionally complete!

  13. End of prototype project! This is when the project would no longer fit my “hobby time budget.” So I expect to stop here. But… if this were to continue:
    1. BiiBii model with animations
    2. Logo (should wait for BiiBii models)
    3. Gamepasses modeling and setup
    4. More base upgrades
    5. Additional level packs
    6. Launch game
