Script: Campaign 1, Chapter 1

Attack of the BiiBiis – Campaign 1 “Invasion”

This campaign is the first one in the game and serves as an introduction in how to play and also gives the player some cards to get started.  The comic strip (or animated movie short later on) will play before the battle.  (Later on) a skip will open up to allow players to quickly get to the battle if they wish.  The campaign difficulty will start at level 1 and have base rewards.  Players can replay the campaign and face increasingly higher levels to get higher rewards.

As a general flow, an opening comic/animation will happen then multiple battle scenarios either in a sequence or a user-chosen path, each with rewards upon success.  Sometimes mini-scenes will happen before or after battle scenarios to progress the storyline.

Although this campaign is an introduction, it does not fulfil a marketing concept of an introductory video – there will be a more dramatic montage sequence to showcase more of the aspects of the game vs this campaign.

Chapter 1 – Warnings

Sequence: Tree house

These panels happen at Lodet’s tree house in the forest.

NOTE: The Script will suggest panels, but these may be altered during the construction of the visuals.

Ginger (softer voice, talking to herself): Ginger did it.

Panel 3

In a closer aerial view, we can now see Lodet and Kamista sitting on chairs and looking up at Ginger.

Ginger (softer voice, talking to herself): I’m here.

Panel 4 (full)

Ginger flies in to land on Lodet’s arm.  Both Lodet and Kamista are smiling.

Ginger (loud voice): Lodet!  Task complete!

Panel 5

Lodet kisses Ginger’s head, Ginger closes her eyes and leans in.

Lodet: Who’s a good bird?

Ginger: I’M A GOOD BIRD!

Panel 6

Kamista is laughing.

Kamista: You two are adorable.

Panel 7

Lodet is talking to Ginger who is looking intently at her.

Lodet: So… no threats I need to worry about?

Ginger: No!  All inspected areas are calm tonight.

Panel 8

Lodet: You are amazing Ginger!

Ginger: YES, I AM AMAZING!

Kamista: Your choice of familiar was brilliant, Lodet.

Lodet: Thank you!

Panels 10-20

Various shots of Lodet and Kamista talking to each other, with expressions if indicated. Some shots of solo person, some with both in shot, some with Ginger watching, etc.

Lodet (questioning): Kamista, I’ve… well, I’ve been meaning to ask…

Kamista: Just say it, girlfriend, you know I have your back.

Lodet: Of course, of course.   Well, I’ve been worried ….

Kamista (questioning): About Artinuk?

Lodet (relieved): Yes!  I’ve been feeling well… distant?

Kamista: Ha!  But how is that unusual?

Lodet (snickering): Right, but I mean…  it’s been worse since the tournament.

Kamista: Well, you did embarrass him, didn’t you?

Lodet: By winning?  Why…?

Kamista: By winning the way you did.

Lodet: I just used my magic??

Kamista: Well, it was your poisons.  Artinuk doesn’t like poisons at all.

Lodet (pouting): That’s unfair, he uses his magic to shield and hit hard, doesn’t he?  What’s the difference?

Kamista (considers): You have a point.  Unfortunately, I do think Artinuk values “physical” magic a lot more than poisons.

Lodet (annoyed): Well, is he also annoyed at my healing?

Kamista (smiling): Oh, he likes your healing magic very much!

Lodet (more annoyed): Of course he does, my healing him keeps him on the front line and me in the back!

Kamista (concerned):  Actually, Lodet, that has worried me.

Lodet (nodding): Exactly!  He doesn’t want me to shine in the front! He’s a big hog.

Kamista (worried): No, not that, I’m more… well… upset about your wanting to be on the front line.

Lodet (surprised): ?

Kamista (concerned):  I think I really wanted you to be with me, in the back line.  Supporting and helping, but staying safer.  You in the front line… It’s dangerous, Lodet.  I don’t like that.

Lodet (shy): Oh, I didn’t know that… I thought you knew I wanted to be in front…

Kamista: Oh, I knew, I just hoped it was a phase.  Now I see, it’s still your goal.

Lodet: Yes, I want to be in the mix, I can do it Kamista.  I can fight and still heal.

Kamista:  Oh, I’m sure you can do it. I’ll have to just get over the risks you take to do it.  I don’t want to see you hurt.

Lodet: I see… I’m touched Kamista.  Thank you.

Kamista: Don’t be all surprised!  I will always worry about you, my dear friend.

Lodet: You will see, I will strive to be as good as Artinuk!

Kamista: I don’t doubt it; you are quite tenacious.  You have a killer instinct that is both surprising… and a bit scary.

Lodet (proud):  Maybe I do!

Panel 21

Squirrel: Help!

Panel 22

The squirrel is now on the tree house deck, looking at Lodet exploringly.

Lodet is a little miffed that she is being interrupted, but leans down to pat the squirrel.

Lodet: Now now, it can’t be that bad, can it?

Squirrel (explaining): Frogs!  They come, danger!

Lodet: Just tell them to return to the swamp?  I mean it’s…

Squirrel (annoyed): So many!  Not listen!

Lodet (pondering): Ok, ok.

Panel 27-28:

Lodet turns to Ginger, Lodet looks a little annoyed.

Lodet: Ginger, didn’t you just check out the swamp and forest entryway?

Ginger: Ginger did!  Was clear!

Panel 29-32:

Lodet turns to Kamista, apologizing.  Kamista looks concerned.

Lodet: I’m sorry, I am going to have to see what’s going on.

Kamista: Of course.  I’ll come too…

Lodet: No, no.  I got it, this is probably just a minor misunderstanding.

Kamista: But…

Lodet (annoyed): Seriously, frogs?  I can handle this, Kamista.

Kamista (giving in): I know you can.  I… yeah, you got it, Lodet.

Panel 33-35:

Lodet grabs her witch hat from the wall and floats down to the forest floor.  The squirrel is ahead of her running back.  Ginger is flying near Lodet.

Squirrel: Hurry!  Go go!

Lodet: We are.  Let’s go, Ginger.

Panel 36-40:

As Lodet travels off, Kamista hops down to the forest floor and looks her way.

Kamista (thoughts):  I’ll shadow behind to make sure…

Kamista (close up): I mean it can’t hurt, right?

Kamista (giving up): No, I shouldn’t.  Lodet would be so mad at me.

Kamista (looking a bit scared): Ok, Lodet, be careful, please. I wish I had a Gingerbird to keep an eye on you.
